Our little Callie has been sleeping through the night since the first day we got her and LOVES her crate for nap times—sometimes she even puts herself “down” for nap time by herself. Paul and his family spend so much time caring for their puppies, and everything they do is with a purpose. He really knows his genetics too, which is very encouraging with a breeder, and also provides many resources for starting off with a new puppy. And a fun side note—my fiancé was talking about how impressive Callie already is with her crate and sleeping, and it turns out two other people he works with also have Paul’s puppies that they said are the best!
We couldn’t have been happier with the service, communication, and resources from Long and Lively! Our new little guy, renamed Rock, is such a welcomed addition to the family! He is growing so quickly and is so smart! He even figured out a new game he got for Christmas already! Finding a Dachshund puppy for my son in the NH area proved very difficult, so I started an online search for a reputable company, landing at Long and Lively Pups. I picked out a pup and easily put in his reservation. I received quick communication via phone and email and was able to schedule his arrival on a weekend. He was flown into an airport about an hour from home and delivered directly to my home in a pet carrier that had some of his current puppy food brand and his vet/health information.
I didn’t want to get a dog. All I could think about was the hair and the destruction. But my husband told me that our kids “needed” one, and eventually, I caved. I am so glad that I did because Smokey is the best.dog.ever. My husband and I did a lot of research and stopped when we found Paul. He was so knowledgeable and transparent. We loved that his pups were raised in his house by his family. I loved the photos and videos. Considering all you get (crate training and on the way to being housebroken), his prices are very affordable, and the fact that the deposit is refundable is amazing. He really knows his stuff and is a pleasure to work with. Even though we’ve had our dog almost a year, I still follow Paul’s Puppies so that I can see the next litters growing. I look at those videos and smile, thinking about all the other families that are going to be as happy with their pups as we are with ours.
I knew from the moment I spoke to Paul I had to have one of his puppies! He was very honest and suggested the type of Dachshund that would be best with a baby. My Chewie is a complete mush! He came crate trained and slept through the night. He is great with my 11-month-old child. He is also surprisingly very calm. We are first-time dog owners and have three children. To say I was nervous about having a dog would be an understatement, but Rosie has been a dream. She stayed with Malachi for a few extra weeks for therapy prep, and it was absolutely worth it. She came home almost fully potty trained, fully crate trained, and ready for life in a busy house. Malachi is amazing and raises the sweetest, most even-tempered, most lovable dogs. It is clear how much he loves what he does.
Love our puppy!! What else can I say—she has been such a wonderful addition to our family. She is sweet and beautiful and very smart. We have had other pets before, but none have been so well prepared to join our family and bring so much joy and instant bonding.
